What We Did

An average of 12 second-through-fifth graders enjoyed 14 weeks of hands-on science lessons and activities. The most popular activities, all of which were rated "excellent" by participants, were

Carnations and water conduction No-Bake Peanut Butter Cookies
Rocket Cars Paper Rockets
Prisms and Color Wheels Volcanoes and Lava Lamps

Ten volunteers from Reach Out! and Alpha Xi Delta met weekly for the club. Some volunteer comments:
  "Each week was better, as we began to get to know the children and they got to know us."
  "I am very happy I decided to do it."
  "The projects the children made were quite good."
  "Thank you for the wonderful experience."
